A semi-automatic coffee machine, as opposed to a fully automatic coffee machines. “Automatic” means that all you have to do after filling the beans and pressing the powder is to turn a knob or press a button to get the coffee of your choice. Semi-automatic” is because it cannot grind the beans and can only use ground coffee. However, semi-automatic coffee machines need to be regularly cleaned and maintained in the process of use, and if they are used every day, they need to be cleaned daily and the relevant spare parts replaced every month. Next, let’s take a look at the cleaning and maintenance knowledge of semi-automatic coffee machines.
Cleaning and maintenance of semi-automatic coffee machines
I. Daily cleaning and maintenance work
1.If you need to use detergent, please use a mild, non-corrosive detergent and spray it on a wet cloth before wiping the machine (note that the cloth should not be too wet and the detergent should not be sprayed directly on the machine to prevent excess water and detergent from penetrating into the circuit system and eroding the wires, causing a short circuit).
2.Remove the handle and press the wash button after each production to rinse off the coffee grounds remaining in the steaming head and on the filter net.
3. Steam rod: After using the steam rod to make milk froth, wipe the steam rod with a clean, damp cloth and open the steam again to clean the remaining milk Mianschen in the blowhole with the impulse and high temperature of the steam itself to maintain the smooth flow of the blowhole.
4. Boiler: In order to prolong the life of the boiler, if you do not use the machine for a long period of time, please turn off the power and open the steam switch to completely release the pressure in the boiler, and then clean the water tray and drainage tank after the boiler pressure gauge indicates zero and steam is no longer emitted (Note: Do not turn off the steam switch at this time, wait until the next day when hot water drips out of the steam bar after starting the machine, then turn it off to balance the pressure inside and outside the boiler).
5. Water tray: remove the water tray and wipe it with a clean cloth before opening or before use, allow it to dry and then put it back.
6. Drain the sink: Remove the sink and use a damp cloth or napkin to remove any sediment from the sink, then rinse with hot water to keep the drain pipe clear.
7. Filter cup and filter handle: at least once a day, rinse the handle with hot water to dissolve the coffee oil and sediment remaining on the handle so that some of the oil and sediment will not flow into the coffee during the steaming process and affect the quality of the coffee.
8, brewing system and filter cup handle: remove the filter cup of any filter cup handle and replace it with a non-porous filter cup for cleaning and disinfection; put a small spoonful of cleaning powder (2-3 grams) into the filter cup; embed the handle of the filter cup into the receiver and check whether it is completely closed; then press the cleaning key for about 2-3 seconds and then pick up the key to stop, so repeat a few times and then relax the handle, sweep the cleaning key and shake the handle left and right to wash the head gasket and the steaming head. When the cleaning is complete, remove the handlebar cleaning button so that the liquid remaining in the brewing system flows out and the button stops after approximately 1 minute. Brew a cup of coffee to remove the odour after cleaning. If there are more than one spout, repeat the same procedure for the other spouts. Repeat the above steps for the other water outlets.
Weekly cleaning and maintenance work.
1. Water outlet: Remove the copper head and net from the water outlet (if the machine has just been used, pay attention to the high temperature), soak (1000ml of hot water to three small spoons of powder) for one day, rinse all the accessories with water and wipe them with a clean, soft, damp cloth.
(Note: Do not soak the plastic part of the handle in the cleaning solution to avoid the plastic surface of the handle being eroded by the cleaning solution; rinse all accessories with water and wipe with a clean, soft, damp cloth.
3. Monthly and quarterly cleaning, maintenance work.
1. Water filter: inspect and replace the first and second water filter cores, it is recommended to replace them once a month.
2. Water softener: inspect and replace the third water softener, following the steps below.
Turn off the water supply; take the third water softener out of the wash and soak it in 10% salt water.
