I was determined to get a semi-automatic espresso machine for my home, so I started reading various coffee machine reviews online. Still, I either couldn’t see it or couldn’t afford it, so when I finally saw a review of this coffee machine by Niu Xiaojia, I felt that it met my needs and budget I bought it after learning more about it from him.
Q: Please tell us what are the pros and cons of this coffee machine.
Pros.
1. Very playable, basically satisfies a heavy coffee drinker who wants to make all espresso types at home.
2. Very quick to warm up: it only takes a minute or two from start to finish, so it will be easy to turn on the machine and make coffee.
3. I think it’s quite good looking.
4. Comes with its water tank, which is perfect for home use and requires no modifications other than the plug to keep it in the house.
Disadvantages.
1.Theemachine’s stability in terms of temperature and pressure control is not comparable to that of a five or six-digit commercial machine, so it does not produce a consistent and continuous espresso, which is why this machine is suitable for home use but not commercial use.
The machine’s overall footprint is quite large as it has to be equipped with a dedicated bean grinder, so if you want to buy one, you need to check if there is enough space in your kitchen.
The all stainless steel exterior looks good. However, fingerprints and water stains can easily stick to the machine and make it look unclean. If you want to keep the device tidy, you need to wipe it often. Otherwise you will be like me in the video where the fans dislike how they don’t wipe the device to look dirty. (Ugh, I’m so hard 😫 )
Q: Do you have any buying advice for people looking to buy a home coffee machine?
If you’re not a heavy coffee drinker, don’t buy a semi-automatic espresso machine, it will go unused for various reasons, and I’ve done the maths, and it costs about the same as going out for a drink every day for a year.
Suppose you are sure that you want to make your espresso at home semi-automatically. In that case, the buying advice is to buy the most expensive machine you can afford and match it with a good grinder of the same level as your coffee machine, after all, it is part of the purchase of a large household appliance, buy one that is good enough to like enough to guarantee the experience.
There is no such thing as a good espresso machine for around 1000, so don’t ask me in the background if I have a recommendation for an espresso machine for about 1000; it’s good to have fun playing with the Moka pot together.

Yes, I do. I want the Hot Mama mini and the Hot Mama GS3; after all, what coffee lover wouldn’t want a Hot Mama that is perfect except for the price? The reasons for wanting one would probably be good looks, a boiler, so the pressure is stable, the espresso comes out in excellent condition, and the quality of a commercial one with a home’s size.
