The Coffee makers
I. Main categories (types) of coffee
1. 1 Espresso (high-temperature, high-pressure coffee) and its variants
Lattes, macchiatos, cappuccinos, mochas, kombucha, etc., are all variations of Espresso obtained by adding different recipes (mainly milk and foam, etc.) to an Espresso base (Italian concentrate).
1.2 Americano (drip coffee)
The definition of an Americano is rather vague. From a machine point of view, a fully automatic Espresso machine produces a cup of “Americano” by adding hot water to the Espresso. However, there is a different type of machine: the drip coffee, i.e., freshly ground coffee powder placed in the handle and dripped with hot water. There is no heat (at most boiling water), no high pressure, just pure drip coffee.

2.1 The espresso production process (excluding daily start-up preparation and shut-down maintenance).

As we can see from the above process, there are several variables in the production of Espresso. Each indicator at each step of the process can be used as a variable that ultimately affects the coffee quality.
There are many variables in the process of producing a cup of coffee. The role of the coffee machine in this is to control the stability of these variables. There is a standard for Espresso, which is 8-9 Pa of atmospheric pressure, 92 degrees of hot water, 18-20 g of ground coffee, and 36-40 g of extracted coffee. This standard is a very popular statement. So, the coffee machine is essentially controlling these variables in general, not to fluctuate too much, and consistently and quickly output these parameters to make coffee.
So, in the end, a good coffee machine is simply a machine that guarantees stable parameters for the coffee-making process. So what exactly are the parameters for optimum taste? The answer: “There is no standard answer.” Even though Espresso has a very industrial and standardized process, many machines are still on the market that is sold as “hand-controlled.” So what is the best way to vary the standard parameters? There is no definitive answer, and the same applies to coffee making. All we can say is that there are different kinds of carrots and vegetables, and the parameters that best suit your tongue will only be known if you have tried them yourself.
At this point, you should also know that a coffee machine is just a machine that can control, adjust, and maintain the parameters for making coffee.
Since it is a machine, there must be an automated process, so let’s take a look at the general classification of coffee machines and compare the various.
